Decision Compass Call: Creating a Culture of Quality
Description
Creating a Culture of Quality
Topic Leader: Angela Buckley, Quality Manager, Whirlpool
Successfully achieving a culture of quality includes a strategic approach that ties corporate initiatives to tactical activities approachable by shop floor employees. The webinar addresses corporate initiatives, people development activities, department workstream alignment, and the relevant key activity indicators and key performance indicators.
Cascading corporate culture to plant-specific initiatives and department level activities results in workstreams such as people development to include leadership training, suggestion plans for engagement, and celebrations.
The concept of zero defects drives activities such as red rabbits, error & mistake proofing, and quick quality responses (QEWO). A culture of measuring and auditing includes three workstreams of voice of the customer, auditing, and data analytics. By tying the corporate initiatives to the plant and department level activities, Marion Whirlpool has been able to achieve five all-time lows in the last 9 months.
This call is exclusive for Manufacturing Leadership Council members. Invitations will be sent to members directly.
