How Finalists and Winners Are Selected
How Are Manufacturing Leadership Award Finalists and Winners Selected?
Manufacturing Leadership Award finalists are selected based on evaluations by a panel of expert judges who review and score each nomination. Projects and individuals that meet or exceed an annually determined scoring threshold are designated as Manufacturing Leadership Award finalists. The number of finalists varies each year based on the judges’ scores. Each nomination is reviewed by three (3) judges; the average of these scores is what determines the final score.
From the field of finalists, the highest scoring project or individual in each category will be selected as the category winner. All of these winners will be revealed at the Manufacturing Leadership Awards Gala.
Two (2) Manufacturers of the Year and a Manufacturing Leader of the Year will also be selected from among all of the ML Award winners. One Manufacturer of the Year Award will honor a large company with more than $1 billion in annual revenue, and one will be awarded to a small/midsize company with less than $1 billion in annual revenue. Winners of these awards are chosen from among all project award winners and are selected through a collaborative process based on the expert judge evaluations as well editorial evaluations. These winners are announced at the Manufacturing Leadership Awards Gala. Finalists for these awards will be identified and contacted by the Manufacturing Leadership Council for further information.
Technology and consulting partners who had an active role in an award-winning manufacturing project are eligible to be named a Partner in Collaborative Innovation. Technology and consulting partners may also nominate individual leaders at a manufacturing company, such as their client executives.
From time to time an outstanding individual may be selected for the Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is bestowed by the Manufacturing Leadership Council Board of Governors when eligible candidates are identified. Candidate names and supporting material may be submitted for consideration to [email protected].
Manufacturers anywhere in the world are eligible for the Manufacturing Leadership Awards. Multiple nominations may be submitted by a single manufacturing enterprise, but each must be for a different project or individual achievement. No single enterprise may submit more than five (5) project nominations, and no single enterprise may be named a finalist for more than three (3) projects in a single year. Standalone technologies, products and services are not eligible for the Manufacturing Leadership Awards.
The Manufacturing Leadership Council reserves the right to place nominations in appropriate categories.
