Pete Durette

Chief Executive Officer, IPG

Peter C. Durette is Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of IPG (Intertape Polymer Group), a global leader in sustainable packaging and protective solutions serving a diversified set of geographies and end-markets.

Prior to joining IPG, Mr. Durette spent 13 years at WestRock (and its predecessor MeadWestvaco) in a variety of senior roles including most recently as WestRock’s President, Corrugated Packaging. He had previously served as Chief Strategy Officer and held various other commercial and operating roles, including President of Enterprise Solutions, Executive Vice President of Beverage Packaging and Senior Vice President of Home Health and Beauty Packaging. Prior to joining WestRock, he spent more than a decade with Marakon Associates, a boutique strategic advisory company where he advised CEO’s and their management teams on strategies to improve shareholder value.

Pete holds a BA in Economics from Duke University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Palmer Scholar.   Pete resides in Richmond, Virginia with his wife, Stevie, and two children, Topher and Ceci.  He also serves on the Board of Governor’s of Saint Catherine’s School in Richmond as well as the Board of Visitors for the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University.
