Pooja Tripathi is a native San Antonian and has worked in economic and workforce development since 2011.
She joined the Manufacturing Institute in 2021 after working at Bexar County’s Economic and Community Development Department for over ten years. Her professional experience centers around connecting people to better education and career opportunities through developing industry sector partnerships and deliberately engaging the workforce and education ecosystem to solve industry’s needs. She has worked specifically with the manufacturing industry to help them develop short-, mid-, and long-term strategies, and think outside the box on recruitment and retention strategies to engage with underrepresented populations.
She received her BBA in Management with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2005, as well as her MBA in International Business and MS in Finance from Florida International University in 2009.
Pooja also helped start a local volunteer-run nonprofit in 2011 called Awaaz San Antonio that assists South Asians affected by domestic violence. She continues to be an advocate and is passionate about helping others. She now lives in Kyle, Texas.
